Baby, Baroque, Bows and Butterflies

Oh, bird and buttons too... I've been decorating some more bags.  Hope you like them.

I used Baby Tees wheel and Baby Prints stamp set on the white bag. The wheel was inked with Versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder, then coloured in using my blender pen and inks.

The butterfly bag was of course stamped with the Butterfly Collection wheel, in Always Artichoke.  The flower was made with five punched out cardstock using the Blossom punch.  I have a boxful of them in different colours. They come in handy to put on gifts, etc.

I tried the embossed wax paper resist technique last week, using the Modern Mosaic embossing folder, and viola, the results of my first attempt are used on the other two bags.  You get two 'prints' with this technique, a positive and negative. I used our sponges rather than a brayer to colour them because I wanted more of a distress look. That gorgeous large stamp is Beautifully Baroque.

Thank you for visiting. Come back soon.

  1. I'm loving these bags Jenny and most of all I love the 'baby' themed one, Ican't believe I have never noticed the wheel with all the little vests!!! Also where do you source your little brown bags?
