More Elements of Style

One of my ladies at class asked if we could make a special anniversary card for her grandparents 60th wedding anniversary and this is the design I came up with.  We made this card last week, except Jen's card included the number 60 which I had cut with a BigShot die. I forgot to take a photo of her card and the numbers which were very pretty as I covered them with Crystal Effects and a light sprinkle of glitter.

The card itself is cut with the largest of the new Hearts Collection Framelits dies - a set of 6 layering dies. It's layered with Beau Chateau designer paper - cut with the second largest die. The Beau Chateau paper is no longer available, however, you can easily achieve the same look because that beautiful floral image is one of the stamps in the Elements of Style stamp set.  We used it to stamp the background in pink on the third heart and also on the heart inside the card.

I used the new 1 1/4" (3.2 cm) two-tone ribbon in Pink Pirouette/Rose Red for the knot, also available in Basic Gray/Basic Black.  As it's a wide ribbon, I folded it in half lengthwise first, tied the knot loosely and then teased the ends into shape as I gradually pulled tight.  The pretty glittery heart is punched out of the Silver Glimmer card which I coloured with my marker pen in Pink Pirouette.

You can just see the envelope finished off with the same floral image and bird from same stamp set - beautiful.

Thank you for visiting x
