Bordering on Romance

Today I thought I'd have a play with some neutral colours and of course the Mocha Morning Speciality designer paper pack was perfect to choose from for the background.

The Bordering on Romance image was stamped in Basic Black* on Very Vanilla card and coloured in inks using a blender pen. Don't pick up the ink directly from your ink pad. If you squeeze your closed ink pad, some ink will transfer to the lid, then you can pick up ink from the lid. Once dry, I applied Stampin' Up's Crystal Effects and a very light sprinkle of glitter, finished off with a Rhinestone in the center of each flower, and of course Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon.  I find it a challenge not to use ribbon on my cards.
*Stampin' Up's Basic Black and Basic Gray Classic Ink are waterproof.

Cherish the moments

Ahhh, aren't these little dresses cute? Saw the original on Jen Sanne's blog, thank you Jen. This is my version, I hope you like it. The dresses are created using the Owl Builder Punch.  The frill is made with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch - passed through the crimper a couple of times to get a frill effect.

The gorgeous embossed, scalloped edge and embossed hearts were created using Adorning Accents edgelits dies and embossing folders - new in the Summer Mini, on page 9.  'Cherish the Moments' is from Baby Prints stamp set, another new set in the Summer Mini, on page 26,

Two versions of one of the cards we made in class a few weeks ago using a new stamp set, Bright Blossoms, from the Summer Mini. The leaves are in Old Olive and flower heads in Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise and Melon Mambo stamped on Whisper White and punched out with the 1 1/4" circle punch and layered on 1 3/8" circles.
And two more using the same stamp set.
